1. Booking
1.1 All of our trips and courses can be booked provisionally by phone, but we do require your deposit and completed booking form before your place can be reserved.
2. Fees
2.1 Prices are listed against each activity.
2.2 A deposit of £150 is required on booking a holiday, for navigation courses payment is required in full.
2.3 All balances must be paid by 8 weeks prior to the trip/course commencement date.
3. Cancellation by the Customer
3.1 All cancellations must be made in writing and acknowledged.
3.2 For cancellations received over 8 weeks prior to your trip date, 50% of your deposit will be refunded (the balance will be retained for admin costs).
3.3 There will be no refunds for cancellations within 8 weeks of your trip or course date.
4. Cancellation by the Company
4.1 Whilst every effort will be made to run a trip or course, if we have to cancel due to unsuitable conditions or low numbers, an alternative date, or refund, will be offered.
4.2 The company cannot accept any compensation claims made against cancellation.
5. Cancellation Insurance is usually included in your Personal Accident Policy
6. Insurance
6.1. Hill Walking Holidays have a public liability insurance policy.
6.2. Whilst we maintain a high professional standard of leading, we strongly advise you to purchase Personal Accident Insurance (including cancellation). The following company can provide appropriate insurance at a reasonable cost (approximately £15 - £20 for 5 to 10 days)
7. All our hill walking trips require a reasonable level of fitness in line with multi-day hill walking.

- Spare food supply (cereal bars)
- Gaiters (Winter)
- Rucksack and rain cover (25 to 35L)
- Fleece or similar
- Walking trousers (not jeans)
- Survival bag
- Head torch and spare batteries
- Perry whistle
- Food and water
- Mobile phone
- Map and compass (optional)
- Personal first aid kit
- Sunglasses and sun cream
- Passport (Ireland)
9. Hill Walking Holidays reserve the right to preclude any unsuitably equipped person.
